kalpi[ATHENS OCT 6] SYRIZA was given a 3.7 point lead over ruling coalition leader New Democracy in an e-Voice opinion poll published by the Sunday newspaper "Typos tis Kyriakis".

Specifically, in answer to the question "Which party would you vote for if elections were held on Sunday?", SYRIZA took the lead with 21.2% and ND came second with 17.5%. Support for the remaining parties was as follows: Golden Dawn - 5.3%, Potami - 4.6%, Communist Party of Greece (KKE) - 4.4%, PASOK - 3.9%. A further 8.3% supported 'other parties'.

The poll showed that all parties had very low voter support, however, with another 16.7% of respondents saying they were undecided and 12.2% replying that they would not vote at all.

In reply to whether the country should hold early elections, voters appeared to almost evenly divided, with 46.2% replying 'no' and 45% replying 'yes'.
Asked which inspired the most confidence as prime minister, current premier Antonis Samaras took the lead with 35.7%, with SYRIZA leader Alexis Tsipras receiving 31.9%.
